Belay/Rappel
Trango is proud to be the leader in designing innovative and practical belay devices for almost 20 years. The introduction of the Pyramid in 1991 shook up the belay world with the first ever belay/rappel device with a rope path that mimiced the rounded-rectangle profile of a bight of rope and brought silky smooth feeds to the climbing world. Every other belay device since is a copy of that concept.
As rope diameters got thinner, some way to control these skinnier ropes was needed and, once again, Trango led the field with Jaws, the first-ever enhanced friction, multi-mode belay device. TheB-52 broke new ground with the first slot-style belay device with the capacity to autoblock your second.
The Cinch continues to lead the field of locking-assist devices with a lightweight, easy-to-feed, compact and simple device that works with the new skinny single ropes.
