Trango selects athletes for their love of sport, community leadership, and willingness to be role models for the next generation of climbers. Our athletes depend on us for superior equipment that helps them achieve their goals. Elite
Back in the early 1990s when Trango set up its first offices in Boulder, the term "professional climber" was an oxymoron. But both Trango and its ace team of athletes have learned a few things about the world of climbing. At Trango, we support climbers in multiple disciplines, from those pushing the envelope of what is possible on boulders, sport test pieces, big walls, remote peaks, and in world class competitions. What our elite athletes have in common is their love of sport, their leadership efforts in the climbing community and outdoor world, and their willingness to be role models. Sure, our elite athletes climb hard, but they work hard, and play hard as well.
Routsetters
Trango partners with many of the country's top route setters for both gym and competition climbing. Our highly-skilled team provides feedback on existing products and insight into future products. Our focus is to design and produce gear that meets the unique requirements of route setting professionals.
Ambassadors
In addition to our elite team, Trango supports climbing ambassadors worldwide. The global Trango ambassador team consists of climbers from all disciplines; bouldering, sport, trad, alpine and ice. When you meet a Trango Ambassador, you'll find a passionate climber who loves the sport and the brand.
Grassroots
Trango recognizes that climbing is more than big names and famous first ascents. Climbing is community, and the sum of the individuals who share passion for the sport, regardless of the discipline, grade, or photo op of the ascent. That's why we focus on grassroots athletes and events.
Youth
Accessibility to climbing is paramount to Trango. One way we work to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to climb is through supporting youth teams and their coaches.
